Getting back to the grind

Not a lot has been going on around here, just working and being pregnant. Trying to get into our new routine has been a little tougher than usual.  Jordan started back at school a couple weeks ago. Shes in the big 1st grade now! She loves school and is so super smart it blows my mind. This kid is a math whiz and a top reader in her class. Apparently she is reading above her grade level already! Im so proud of how smart she is, her talents are just endless. This is a picture of her from the morning before her first day of first grade!

Currently, Im just over here being all pregnant and such. The beginning of this pregnancy seemed to fly by and looking back seems like Im going to wake up in 6 months and realize just how fast it went by and how I took it for granted. I have really struggled with this pregnancy to actually enjoy it. It seems so weird to me because over all I have such easy pregnancies and I lose the weight quickly and I typically love it. However this time I was not trying to get pregnant. It was much sooner than I had planned and I was literally just getting my body back. Just a couple months of nursing left then I was free to focus on me and getting back in shape etc. Then bam! I found out the beginning of February that i'm starting it all over again. That sounds terrible right? Don't get me wrong I'm very thankful for a healthy baby. This baby is already loved and I always wanted more kids I just had planned to space them out a bit more. I also have been getting negative remarks occasionally from customers at the daycare and random strangers and it gets to me after a while. I am a little worried about how I'm going to manage a new baby and the other two, being a wife, cleaning and errands all while working full time. It is so daunting right now that I honestly just try to block it out. Though the ticking time clock is getting louder everyday. My time of a mommy of two is dwindling....scary! Im trying to stay positive and focus on this unexpected  blessing.

Almost 28 weeks here :) Hello 3rd trimester!!!!

Jordan and I made some really tasty birthday confetti popcorn and sent to Jen for her 25th birthday :) We of course had to make a second batch to eat ourselves since Sawyer wanted to eat all of Jen's. hehe Little piggy!

Here is a pic of my beautiful little girl. She is getting so big, some days it really hits you that 'wow she's NOT a baby any more!' I cant believe how fast she is growing.

And of course my handsome little man cuddling his infamous cup. He melts my heart every day. I love him so much. Can't believe how big he is getting too, seems like I was just sitting here blogging about being pregnant with him!

Jordan has been losing baby teeth one after the other over here. (Another sign she is getting so big!!) Here she is after losing her 3rd baby tooth. :) She tries to hang on to them as long as possible, literally until they are hanging on by a thread but thankfully she let daddy pull this tooth out!

Lastly, My best employee and close friend Kristi Brenneman is moving to Pennsylvania. Im pretty sad about it and I am freaked out about being lost with no Kristi to help at work and I'm weeks away from delivery. Though I'm mostly sad that my friend is leaving. I have a hard time getting close to anyone as a friend and trusting them and of course when I do, they get taken away. Really sucks and I'm mad and upset with our crappy luck but Im glad for the time we had together and memories we have. I hope we will be able to visit often and keep close. I will miss her.

Here is our kiddies at my moms pool a couple weeks ago, they had a blast and we had a great time relaxing and snacking by the pool. :)

We will miss you Kristi Brenneman, you are awesome and a wonderful friend. Pennsylvania wont know what hit them! <3    :'-(

Megan and kids come for a visit!

This past week my friend Megan came from texas for a visit! We havent seen each other in 3 years!!! Time flies by when your so wrapped up in your life. We were really excited to finally get together and for our kids to meet and play together! Our picture perfect visit didnt go quite as planned, our girls are way to similar in personality and they argued over stuff the whole time. Its like they were competing for who was more of a big kid and running the show. Drove us crazy but there were fun times too where they behaved and had fun. The boys had fun and actually were really good the whole time, aside from Sawyer being a bit of a bully. He is going through a little bit of a phase of pulling and pushing that we are trying to break. All in all I would say we had a lot of fun catching up together and hanging out. We were able to go to the pool and stay at my parents beach house for a couple days for my birthday!

Here is a picture of me on my birthday! I turned 25 while I was 25 weeks pregnant :)
We went out for birthday breakfast and the girls argued over a blanket but at least they looked cute doing it haha

The next day we went to broadway at the beach. The boys literally went along for the ride the whole time and were so good! They were looking at the massive fish that they have in the water there. Then they road around happy eating snacks!

Megan bought the girls henna tattoos which they are very proud of. Im curious to see how long it will last. Teagan got a diamond and Jordan got tinker bell.

This was from my birthday dinner. We went to river city cafe. The food was quite tasty and it even had a little indoor play place so the kids could burn off some energy before dinner. Too bad that didnt stop them from making a huge mess and spilling drinks.

The next day it finally stopped raining and we headed to the beach, here is my hungry man having snacks on the beach. He cant go more than hour without a snack I swear!

Megan and sleepy Liam, it was getting close to nap time for the boys so we were getting ready to wrap it up. Plus Liam wasnt a huge fan of the sand and the water.

The girls however LOVED the water and didnt want to get out. They were having a blast playing in the sand and jumping the waves!

The next day Megan had to leave to go to Penn. to visit her family. I wish we could have had more time together but I'm thankful for the time we had and that she was willing to drive down to see us after that huge drive from texas! We miss them, and we have to make sure it isnt three years again before we see each other!

Happy 4th of July!!

Here is our 4th of July in a little nutshell! We headed over to Brad and Kristi's house around lunch time for some yummy burgers and fruit along with Derek's tasty special corn that I had been craving! After lunch we went out on the boat and let the kids swim in the lake. They had a blast!! Sawyer is a little fish just like his sister and wanted us to let him swim by himself! He was having a fit! Afterwards we had a rest and then headed to pinehurst for the firework show! I was a little worried how Sawyer would react but he LOVED them! He was so excited, he was clapping and pointing, it was adorable! All in all it was a really fun relaxing family day that was much needed! The kids had a blast! :) I love 4th of July!! :)

Back from my posting vacation.

I have such a hard time with keeping up with life and getting it all down. I feel like the busiest person alive. I know I'm probably not, but man the days just seem to run together and the time passes by so quickly. Its been seven months since I have written anything down, the sad part is, I also had stopped writing in Sawyer baby book after his seventh month update. He is 15months now! I am a terrible mom. I spent over an hour last night trying to fill in the gaps, and its just not the same. However, thats what I plan to do with this blog. Ill start from current times and go back to fill in the holes. It just goes to show you how much time I actually take for myself. I used to update my blog when the kids went to bed and I could sit down and enjoy a snack and organize my pictures and get them all online. Yeah...well not so much of that has gone on. Luckily I still have tons of pictures, they are just trapped on my phone. I am really going to try to make updating this part of my weekly routine, I think I need this time to myself.

Here are some current pictures of all of us. Mr. Sawyer bean with his cup. He goes NOWHERE without his milk cup. I have a hard time getting a picture of him without this stinkin' cup in it. I guess I shouldnt be too upset, there are worse things he could be attached to. He is getting so big, I cant believe how fast time flies. I swear it didnt seem like Jordan got so big so fast. It literally seems like I was just in the hospital giving birth! Makes me sad, though I love the little person he has become! He is so full of energy and love and he keeps us laughing. I cant imagine a day without him. He is so ready to be a big boy he tries so hard to keep up, and he loves to follow his big sissy around. I think she is his favorite person! Im soaking it up while I can, before the bickering starts! So, for now I get to bask in all the lovey cuddles and kisses between them!

Me and the Hubs. We definitely don't take the time to take enough pictures of the two of us. Even here someone had to sneak attack an arm in the frame. A little side note: My wonderful husband is in school full time now working his butt off to finish his degree. He finally decided a path that was great for him and his new goal is to be a Chemical Engineer, and I think that is a perfect fit! He is so so smart he has already finished a couple classes this summer with A's of course. I have no doubt that he will finish this degree and find an amazing job that he will love. He had worked so hard to try to find a way into the military but because of his medical history there is just no working him in, so I guess a military life isnt for us. Its probably for the better though, the thought of living separately made me sad before he even put his name down. He has one more semester at sandhills, and he will be transferring up to NC State to finish in the engineering program. Im so excited for him. He is nervous about it but this guy is so smart he doesnt even know. He will have it in the bag!! Im so proud of him! :)

Little princess Jordan recently got a new haircut, her Rapunzel hair was getting unmanageable. She is currently on summer break, though it is coming to an end here shortly. She is my big 1st grader! She cant wait to start school back up. She is my other genius. She got above grade level marks on her report cards in kindergarten and finished out with outstanding remarks from her teacher. She is already doing math with large numbers and reading above grade level! She loves science and is a fantastic artist!! She has a knack for that and got above average in art all year! I'm so so proud of her too! I hope she does well all throughout school. Though im sure with the help from her amazing daddy she will. This man is trying to teach her algebra and chemistry at 6years old, and the scary thing is she understands the basics!! I can't wait to see what she does throughout school!

Then last but not least....We are expecting another little Markey in october!! Right now im nearly 24 weeks. Apparently this baby will be big like its big brother, because Im looking gigantic already. -Sigh- oh well.  Im excited and nervous all at the same time. This baby was very much NOT planned and I have to say I dont think I was quite ready. My littles will be 17months apart. I may go crazy chasing after two babies and trying to keep up with Jordan too. So therefore on that note, there is a very good chance that this little Markey will be our last addition. I can hardly imagine chasing after 3 kids. I cant even picture 4. I had planned to start trying when Sawyer was about 2, but looks like by the time he is two I will have a 7month old. YIKES! Despite all the nerves, this baby will be very much loved. We are still very excited and even more so now that we decided to be 'team green', in other words, we didnt find out the gender. This baby was a surprise so  what better time to not find out! I always wanted to do it with one baby. The whole giving birth and the doctor shouting out, "its a ....." sounds so thrilling! This pregnancy has been flying by up until the last couple weeks it seems. October seems so far away but im sure looking back it will seem like only a brief moment.

So thats it, thats the jist of what is going on with us. Ill be sure to keep posting throughout my pregnancy! :)

North Carolina State Fair 2012

October 23th we took the kids to the North Carolina state fair! We try to always make it to the fair when it comes but this was obviously Sawyers first time, which makes it all the more exciting! :) Since we work way too many  hours we had to take the kids after work (Well we actually decided to drive up monday night as well, just Derek and I while the kids stayed home with Grandma Betsy. Date night! Whoo) Anyway, we didnt get there until about 7pm and we stayed a little late so we could squeeze out as much fun as we could! Derek and Jordan rode several rides. Jordan really wanted to ride the ferris wheel so this is what me and sawyer did while we waited for nearly 40minutes!!

Fireworks! (Derek and Jordan got the pleasure of watching these from the top of the ferris wheel, soooo sweet haha)

Sawyer was having a blast despite the nippy air that night

Here is Jordan and Daddy on their first ride of the night, hard to get a picture they were flying!

They had a kid roller coaster and Jorda asked to go all by herself! We were a little surprised, though I dont know why, this child is a thrill seeker.

On to the petting zoo. This was so cool to me for some reason, maybe because I have never seen a camel in real life. Pretty dang cool if you ask me. Way better than the Zoo and a million times faster haha. You were able to touch and feed the animals, which was very neat!

Jordan feeding the Camel!!

Look how far back she jerked her hand when he put his mouth on it haha. He was determined to get that food though.
Sawyer and a llama, tried to squeeze him into the pic lol

Jordan found a little baby goat

We promised Jordan face painting which she loved, since it was filled with lots of glitter.

Sawyer riding on Daddys shoulders again, he loves it!

Giant slide.

That wrapped up our trip to the fair and we headed on the long walk to the car. The kids fell asleep almost instantly and we enjoyed some grown up conversation. Im glad we wer able to make it up there even though it was late and cold. Hopefully next year it will be a little warmer!

Punkin patch!

Two weeks ago Derek and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch at Gross Farms. This was the first time Derek was able to go there, last year he opted to work the daycare so Jordan and I could go. This year was even more fun because not only did daddy get to go but so did baby Sawyer! It was a lot of fun for Jordan, especially since they added a cool new slide! Luckily the line was short and she got to slide several times! Little man didn't get to play yet but he had fun people watching from the stroller! I'm looking forward to next year when sawyer can run around, boy am I going to have my hands full!
P.s. this was also Derek's very first time playing corn hole! Had to capture this special moment. Lol
