Mothers Day, Drop Zone Kids, and Tom's Birthday!

Mothers Day was the first lazy fun day we have had in a while. We spend most of the day lounging around and sitting at the park just enjoying the weather and our family. It was really nice to relax for a while. Working on our business can get really exhausting but hopefully in a couple weeks it will all pay off!! (That is if it takes off like we are praying that it does!)  I cant wait to see our work in action! Its such a crazy thought to own a business, I still cant really believe that we have a business? Crazy. Well on to the pictures!

My greek inspired Mothers Day breakfast. I love feta cheese so Derek found a neat way to use it for breakfast! It was sooo yummy!

Here are a few pictures of our progress this week. It feels like it just drags on and we never get much done. But hopefully it will be done soon and we can finally put the paint brushes and hammers away!! Cant wait!

Jordan helped me paint the desk! I think she got more paint on her than on the desk.

I dont know if I have put this picture up yet but I think its so neat, we actually finished this a week or so ago but I thought I would talk about it now, because I think its so cute! Its our dress-up clothes closet! We havent hung the clothes yet (so they wouldnt get dusty) but I think it came out so cute! I hope the kids love playing dress up!

Derek has spent several days on this project. We wanted to cut this hole in the wall so everything is more open and the parents can see the kids back there. Then Bernie suggested we put on little puppet shows from the backside and hang up some little curtains. I think we just might!

We finally finished the floor!!!!! YAY...whew! that was a pain!

My little bench for the front entry way, I am pretty excited about it. We got it from someone who was throwing it away and I re-upholstered it! Now it looks bran new again! Im pretty excited!

This past wednesday was Toms birthday! We all met up at Pik n Pig in carthage and had a fun dinner outside on the patio! The kids loved running around and playing in the grass.

Twins Bday, Easter and Drop Zone Kids inc,

SO it has been forever again! Twice in a row that i have let too much time go by before a post. I actually have a good excuse this time! We started a business and have been soooooooooooo busy that I havent had enough time for anything, but I am finally getting a little extra time to post pictures and the exciting things we have done all month! First up the twins had their first birthday!!! It was so cute! Mickey Mouse theme and a big cake that they got all over them!! The kids had fun despite the chilly morning and the family had lots of fun taking pictures of those cute little boys!!

OKAY! Now we have the pictures of our business. Derek and I are opening Drop Zone Kids! A drop-in daycare in Southern Pines! We are pretty excited, here are some sneak peak pictures of our work in progress!!! Only a few more weeks til we get it done!!

The divided place is for toddlers and behind that will be the area where they eat.

The front room, this is were the smaller kids will play, kids around 3-8

This is the back room. It has been alot more work than the front. Derek and Bernie built that little room to block of a big bay door. It will be for storage.

The sunday surprise!!

I finally got a second to get on here and do a post! I have been such a slacker and havent done one in a couple weeks! Last week i didnt have much to put on here so I waited and now I have too much for one post! Here we go....!

Saturday we went to Tom and Mollies house to hang out and watch the game. We got to spend time with all the kids together and hang out and chat. It was alot of fun. Jordan and Ben love to play together. Lately everytime we go to see him, he SCREAMS when he sees Jordan and they start jumping up and down. Its so cute! So here are some cute pics of the twins and the family. Then I have a surprise at the end!

Today we got a sweet little puppy!! He is a German Shephard and he is only 5weeks old! Jordan named him Doby. So meet Doby Markey!!! <3

He is not much bigger than my shoe right now, but he will be a pretty large dog. Jordan is so excited! We have wanted to get a dog for a while now and didnt know what kind to get. We ran across some German Shephard puppies and couldnt turn him down. We are so excited about him, even though he will be alot of work, He will be a great additon to our family and a great protector of Jordan and our future children!
