17 Weeks!!!

Seventeen weeks and counting!! According to my 'What to expect when your expecting' book...which makes no sense I will be in my fifth month starting tomorrow..when im  officially 18 weeks. Which means I'm four months and then some. Ill go with it! Im excited for sure. Im nearly halfway through the pregnancy! Cant believe it!! Im currently 10 days away from our ultrasound...the anticipation is killing me! I dont know if I could have made it til delivery haha. I dont have my list of questions for my blog but Ill try to include everything I can think of.
Im feeling great as usual. Cant really complain, other than achey sometimes. My cravings and aversions havent changed much, though I was able to eat some salad at olive garden this past week. I think because its just so tasty there!!  BIG NEWS...Jordan got to feel the baby kick her hand this past week. She was REALLY excited!!! She has finally decided that she thinks its a baby sister for sure. Haha guess we will see in 10 long days!!! uuugh!  Here is what my lil one is shaping up to look like. Starting to grow some hair, and if this baby looks anything like Jordan its growing ALOT of hair. Jordan had a ton of dark fuzzy hair and it was pretty long. She must have started early lol

This is a chart of where the uterus is each month. Im guessing im somewhere in between the 4th and 5th month. I look bigger than I did with Jordan, which is common with second time moms. Still kind of crazy how round my little belly looks. I look just about as big as my friend megan, who is 7 weeks ahead of me!

Another picture of what the little one should be looking like.

I cant wait until the baby is above a pound!! should only take a few more weeks!!! :)

And again one last picture! The baby is starting to produce fat! So hopefully he/she will be putting on some weight soon! Horray!
This little one is pretty active in the evenings, which is so fun. We can sit on the couch and as soon as I relax it starts jumping around in there! More entertaining than TV :)

My little Jordan is sick this week! We took her to the doctor and after three visits and a x-ray they decided that she has a slight case of pneumonia. Most of the day she feels okay when her medicine is working well, but at night she has a rough time coughing and she has been getting a fever around bedtime. She has a hard time sleeping. So keep her in your prayers til she is feeling herself again! She is really excited for halloween! She is dressing up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Cant wait until I can put up the cute pictures!

Week 16!

Coming to the end of my 16th week! Yay My little jelly bean is getting big! He/She sure is starting to jump around at bed time! Exciting!
How far along?: 16 weeks!!!
How am I feeling?: Pretty good. I got a pretty strong pelvic bone pain this week, especially in my tailbone...felt like it was broke. I think its time to invest in some good body pillows. Aside from that been lovely.
Weight?: I havent gained anything since last week im still at 129. Ive heard im still in the normal range and should start packin on the pounds in the coming weeks... eek!

How am I changing?: Just getting a little fuller and rounder in the belly area!
What I miss?: Eating junk food and not feeling bad about it afterwards.
Symptoms?: Not really feeling any lately except the occational kick ...pregnancy does well with my body. Thankfully!

How big is baby?: Getting pretty big!! Pretty exciting. I also hear it described as the length and width of your open hand. :) love it!

Cravings?: hmmm...just sweets lately. I have eaten too much chocolate. oh and my jello. That is a given.
Food aversions?: Same as before, meat, fast food salads...and I need to emphasize my utter dislike for bacon the most of all meats right now. UGH
Highlights?: The flutters and movements are getting stronger everyday!  I cant wait until its all the time! :) love it!

My big 16 week belly. Its a little bloated looking if you ask me. It doesnt look quite this big in the mornings when I wake up but by 8pm, when this pic was taken and I have eaten all day I turn into a fatty! :)
I decided to do a baby pool for all of our friends and family. I thought it could be alot of fun! Thinking of maybe everyone putting in a dollar? I guess it depends on who votes and if they are near enough to do this. Other wise, the winner can just go to sleep every night feeling pretty awesome for guessing it right! Haha, So I found this neat site that keeps up with it and people can cast all their votes. If you want to add your two cents feel free!!! <3

Week 15!!

Im getting closer and closer to my appointment to find out what the baby is. Getting pretty excited. Jordan changes her mind everyday about what the sex of the baby is. She tells people she is going to have a baby sister and her name will be rapunzle lol then the next day she tells people its going to be a boy and she is naming him taylor (after this little boy who comes in the daycare all the time and they have alot of fun playing). I guess its good she isnt set on one or the other so she wont be disappointed either way. I have wanted to try one of those funny old wives tales tricks for finding out the gender but so far I have been too busy then forget haha. I think im going to try the baking soda one to see if it bubbles or doesnt.. Im sure its not right all the time, much like the others but sounds fun! :)

We havent been doing a whole lot lately except working and working some more. We do however take Jordan to Gymnastics tuesday nights and soccer on saturday morning. I dont have the pictures on the computer I update from so I will have to try loading them later. She does really well in gymnastics and loves it! I think we may be in for many more years of paying that bill :) Soccer was much less fun for her so far, I think because she is the littlest one in her group and she just doesnt run as fast as some of the older kids. They break it into 4-6year olds and Jordan has always been on the little side so I dont know if she will want to sign up for that again or not. She has started getting better though and has kicked the ball in the goal several times, so I guess we will see how it goes.

I recently found this neat little break down for a weekly pregnancy update so you dont leave stuff out, so Im going to give it a try!

How far along are you?: 15 weeks!!!

How big is baby? The length of a navel orange, crown to rump! :)

How am I feeling? Pretty good. I have had a great pregnancy, no sickness, no discomforts (yet) lol I occationally get a little tired but definitely have more energy lately than the first trimester.

Weight?: I really havent gained much weight yet, Im sure that is all about to change. I was 125 when I got pregnant. Which is actually about 10 pounds more than I weighed when I got pregnany with Jordan. I am now only at 129.

How am I changing? Not very much. I have a little bump where the baby is starting to show and mentally Im probably the same. I still dont think it has sunk in that I will have two kids. Even though I know in a few months I will bring a little baby home and I can even feel it kick occationally...it just doesnt seem very real.

What I miss?: Probably just sleeping on my tummy, and having a glass of wine lol. Not that I had them often, I think you only miss them when you cant have them.

Symptoms?: Not really, I think if I didnt have a little growing bump I wouldnt be convinced I was pregnant. Oh other than occationally I can feel a few kicks or rolls! That is really exciting. I guess occationally I have been getting a little emotional but not too bad.

Cravings?: Jello, sweets, pasta, cheese, fruit thats about it...that I can think of. I dont really have many cravings.

Food Aversions?: I have alot of these, I currently hate salad and almost all raw veggies, I dont really want meat or anything that seems to have protein haha. Dont get it. I cant ever find something I feel like eating because this seems to be taking over most of my food groups..especially around dinner time.

Highlights?: Feeling the baby move, he/she is starting to get stronger and more active. This past sunday Derek got to feel the baby for the first time. Man that was really exciting. The baby was doing some crazy stuff and Derek got to feel the baby several times in one night. I was surprised it was so early but the baby seems to be pretty active. Yay :)

24 days until we find out! :) :) :)

14 Weeks!!

14th week update! I almost waited too late again this week. Time just gets away from me or I am just too tired to remember. But! Its here and im excited to be finishing up another week! Horray!! At times it seems to be moving right along and other times it seems to be dragging. Im sure the holidays will be over in a flash and ill be 30 something weeks wondering what happened to the time! I really enjoy being pregnant so I guess I shouldnt rush it. Its just hard to not get anxious for all the fun stuff, like feeling the baby move and finding out the sex and getting the nursery together!

The baby's crown to rump length is 3.2 to 4.5 inches long and he/she weighs approximately 1 ounce now.  Baby is about the size of the average fist. The baby has eyebrows, but no eyelashes. Fine, light hair also begins to grow.

This is the size of the baby this week, crown to rump!

The embryo`s soft cartilage is now being replaced with ` real` chalk bones.

Im starting to get this little belly though mine seems more round than the picture...

Finally my first belly picture posted!!!! Im definitely starting to show and people are starting to notice, for some reason when I wake up in the morning, my belly is smaller than this, but by bedtime my belly gets bigger. I guess from eating all day or being bloated. Im not sure but this was definitely one of my fatter feeling nights haha. It is kind of annoying right now, im too big for my regular clothes by not big enough for maternity clothes yet so everything I wear is uncomfy. Some mornings can be quite frustrating.

We are one month away from our ultrasound appointment! Yay we are really excited! I think we have decided to bring Jordan to the ultrasound! I think this will be a really exciting thing for her to be apart of, especially since she wont be around for anything else dealing with the pregnancy, until after the baby is here. I hope I am making the right decision and she behaves in there. She has really been testing my stress level lately so I am not 100% on my choice. I guess we will see. Might have to bring a lollypop or something? haha

I still cant tell one way or the other if this is going to be a boy or a girl...my gut instincts arent working I guess! Ugh Maybe ill try some of those silly wives tales experiments to see, according to the chinese gender chart, and every baby gender quiz I have taken every thing says girl? But we wont know for sure for another 30 days! Seems farrrr away!
